Depuis sa cr\u00e9ation, notre Association s\u2019est attach\u00e9e \u00e0 la sauvegarde et \u00e0 la mise en valeur du patrimoine architectural dit \u00ab\u00a0mineur\u00a0\u00bb de Fougerolles.<\/strong><\/p>

Bien que qualifi\u00e9s de \u00ab\u00a0mineur\u00a0\u00bb, les petits \u00e9difices tels que croix, oratoires <\/em>et chapelles, n\u2019en sont pas moins un h\u00e9ritage du pass\u00e9, qui traduit des savoir-faire, des cultures qui se sont succ\u00e9d\u00e9 au fil des si\u00e8cles, et dont nous sommes les l\u00e9gataires aujourd\u2019hui. Caract\u00e9ris\u00e9 sans doute \u00e0 tort de secondaire, du fait d\u2019une certaine imperfection et du caract\u00e8re modeste des ouvrages, ces \u00e9difices, refl\u00e8tent l’intensit\u00e9 de la vie\u00a0\u00a0 religieuse, \u00e0 certaines \u00e9poques, entre le XVI\u00e8me<\/sup> et le XIX\u00e8me <\/sup>si\u00e8cles.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Des croix les plus \u00e9labor\u00e9es,
comme celle Blanzey-Haut (n\u00b031, sur la carte), seul \u00e9difice class\u00e9, de ce type, au niveau de la Commune…<\/strong><\/h6>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Ce petit patrimoine religieux qui comprend 55 croix\u00a0 et 21 oratoires\u00a0 et 7 chapelles (en gris), a perdu une bonne partie de son caract\u00e8re sacr\u00e9. Toutefois, on c\u00e9l\u00e8bre encore dans toutes les chapelles, le mois de Marie en mai.<\/strong><\/p>

\u00c9difi\u00e9s pour la plupart entre le XVIII\u00e8me<\/sup> et le XIX\u00e8me<\/sup> si\u00e8cles, ces monuments pouvaient exprimer toute la d\u00e9votion mariale ou bien rappeler un souvenir marquant. La croix ou l’oratoire ainsi \u00e9rig\u00e9, devint un lieu de m\u00e9moire.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

C’est particuli\u00e8rement le cas des \u00e9difices \u00e9lev\u00e9s sur un tumulus apr\u00e8s une \u00e9pid\u00e9mie de peste ou de chol\u00e9ra et qui ont saign\u00e9, \u00e0 elles-seules, une partie de la population locale.<\/strong><\/p>

Enfin, pour certains d\u2019entre-eux le motif exact de leur \u00e9dification demeure inconnu\u00a0: \u00e9tait-ce l\u00e0, le signe d\u2019une repentance ou d\u2019un simple geste ostentatoire\u00a0? Nul ne le sait. <\/strong><\/p>

A propos de la Croix dite de la Source ou des Brigands au Sarcenot (n\u00b063), la lecture de son socle laisserait croire en la date de 1448, bien trop ant\u00e9rieure au style de la croix elle-m\u00eame.<\/strong><\/p>

C\u2019est en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 1778 qu\u2019il convient de lire, le chiffre sept pouvant rev\u00eatir cette forme \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Depuis la cr\u00e9ation d’un emploi-jeune au sein de notre Association, un travail cons\u00e9quent d’entretien de l’ensemble de ces \u00e9difices religieux a pu \u00eatre r\u00e9alis\u00e9 sur plusieurs ann\u00e9es, avec en parall\u00e8le, l’\u00e9tablissement d’un \u00e9tat des lieux g\u00e9n\u00e9ral. Ceci a pu se faire dans le cadre d\u2019une convention pass\u00e9e entre la Commune de Fougerolles, Haute-Sa\u00f4ne Nature Environnement et l\u2019Association…<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Nous comptons bien nous engager dans une d\u00e9marche p\u00e9renne de valorisation de ce petit patrimoine. C\u2019est pourquoi, en 2003, nous avons cr\u00e9\u00e9 le \u00ab\u00a0Circuit patrimonial de Fougerolles-le-Ch\u00e2teau au Petit Moulin\u00a0\u00bbqui valorise diff\u00e9rents aspects de notre patrimoine local : paysages naturels, b\u00e2ti etc. circuit sur lequel des sorties peuvent \u00eatre organis\u00e9es par l\u2019Association (voir \u00ab\u00a0Nos activit\u00e9s \u00ab\u00a0).<\/strong><\/p>

De m\u00eame, en 2013, notre Association a publi\u00e9 l\u2019ouvrage \u00ab\u00a0Fougerolles, La Vaivre, \u00e0 la crois\u00e9e de nos chemins\u00a0\u00bb qui recense tous les \u00e9difices du petit patrimoine religieux de ces deux communes.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Parmi les sept chapelles visibles dans la Commune, entretenues par les particuliers ainsi que par l\u2019Association Saint-Etienne\u00a0: celle de la Basse-Robert (1863), \u00e0 gauche, celle des Chavannes (1873), au centre et celle de Beaumont (1950)<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Enfin, le ch\u00e2teau de Fougerolles et l’\u00e9glise sont les deux \u00e9l\u00e9ments-cl\u00e9s du paysage.<\/strong><\/p>

Le ch\u00e2teau f\u00e9odal, dont l\u2019existence est certifi\u00e9e en 1204, permettait, de par son emplacement, le contr\u00f4le de l\u2019acc\u00e8s de la vall\u00e9e de la Combeaut\u00e9, en amont comme en aval. Il constitue le c\u0153ur de Fougerolles-le-Ch\u00e2teau<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Le chalot (\u00ab\u00a0ch\u00e8lo\u00a0\u00bb en patois local) ou grenier \u00e0 grains, petite construction d\u00e9montable enti\u00e8rement en bois, est \u00e9galement propre au secteur de la V\u00f4ge. On en d\u00e9nombre 132 \u00e0 Fougerolles. Le plus ancien, au Pr\u00e9mourey (photo ci-contre), porte la date de 1681.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

L’\u00e9glise actuelle, d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 Saint Etienne, remarquable \u00e9difice de style Classique, est construi<\/strong>te sur les plans de l\u2019architecte Jean Gruier (ou Gruyer), dans le dernier quart du XVIII\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, \u00e0 l\u2019emplacement m\u00eame de celle de 1559. Inscrite au titre des Monuments historiques en 1978, elle est visible \u00e0 partir de nombreux points de vue avec son clocher comtois typique. Elle constitue l’\u00e2me de Fougerolles.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
